Theology is the Study of God. It is the systematic study of the nature of the divine and, more broadly, of religious belief, practice, and experience. The word itself comes from two Greek words: theos (God) and logos (word, study, discourse, or reason).
Thoes + Logos = God + Study = Study of God
1. Christian theology believes that there is Only One God.
2. Two Sides of God (Psalm 85:10)
Love and Justice
Grace and Righteous
Mercy and Truth
3. Three important attributes of God:
Omniscience (All Knowing)
Omnipotence (All Powerful)
Omnipresence (Ever Present)
4. The main four pillars of theology are
Biblical Theology,
Historical Theology,
Systamatic Theology &
Practical Theology.
In Christian thought, theology is often described as "faith seeking understanding." It is not just an academic exercise but a systematic attempt to understand God’s nature, his relationship with humanity, and his work in the world.
Christian theology is the process of taking the mysteries of faith and organizing them into a coherent framework that informs how a person thinks, acts, and relates to the world.
Bible Verse: Psalm 46.10
“Be still, and know that I am God!I am exalted among the nations,I am exalted in the earth.”
