Holman Haunt (1827-1910) painted the world famous picture 'Christ the Light of the World, Knocking at the Door.' It shows Christ in a garden at midnight having a lantern in his left hand and with his right hand he is knocking at a large door. When the painting was unveiled, critics looked at it with great admiration. But one critic said, 'It seems you haven't finished your work.' Holman said, 'It is finished.' The critic then asked with a little confusion, 'How can it be? There's no knob on the door outside which is usual.' Holman replied, 'It is the door of the human heart. It can be opened only from inside.'
Lesson: 'If any one locks the heart from inside, God cannot enter by any means. So the Lord said, "I'm standing at the door knocking, if any of you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you and you with me." '
