கிறிஸ்தவ வாக்காளர்களே...

நீங்கள் வாக்களிக்கும் முன் சிந்திக்க.... 

1. கிறிஸ்தவ மார்க்கம் என்பது அன்பின் மார்க்கம். ஒரு நாட்டின் சட்டங்களை மதிக்க கற்றுக் கொடுக்கும் மார்க்கம். ஆகவே, நாம் அளிக்கும் வாக்கு என்பது மிக முக்கியமான ஒன்றாகும். வாக்கு அளிக்காமல் இருப்பது சரியான முடிவல்ல. நோட்டாவுக்கு போடுவதும் சரியல்ல.

2. இவர் கிறிஸ்தவர் என்பதனால் இவருக்கு ஓட்டு போடலாம் என்ற முடிவுக்கு உடனே வருவது தவறு. அவர் சார்ந்திருக்கும் கட்சி எப்படிப்பட்டது என்பதை கவனிக்க வேண்டும். அவருடைய நேர்மை, சேவை மனப்பான்மை மற்றும் பொதுவாழ்வில் அவர் கொண்டுள்ள நற்பெயர் ஆகியவற்றிற்கு முதலிடம் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். 

3. சபை சார்ந்த தலைவர்கள் மற்றும் ஊழியர்களுடன் போட்டோ எடுத்து போட்டு வாக்கு சேகரிக்கும் விஷயங்களில் கவனமாக இருக்க வேண்டும். சிறுபான்மை ஆதரவு என்பது வெறும் பெயரளவில் தான் இன்று இருக்கிறது. 

4. குறிப்பிட்ட மதம், ஜாதி, சமூகம் இவற்றிற்கு கட்சிகள் இருப்பது போல், கிறிஸ்தவ கட்சி ஒன்று நம் பகுதியில் இல்லை. சிறிய கிறிஸ்தவ அமைப்புகள் கூட தனித்து களம் காண்பதில்லை. ஆகவே மதம் சார்ந்து அரசியல் ஆதரவு கொடுப்பது சரியான அணுகுமுறை அல்ல.

5. வாக்கிற்குப் பணம் வாங்குவது என்பது நமது நேர்மையை விற்பதற்குச் சமம். அநீதியான லாபத்தை வெறுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற போதனையின்படி, லஞ்சத்திற்கு இடம் கொடுக்காமல் வாக்களிக்க வேண்டும்.

Think before you vote:

 

1. The Duty to Vote: Christianity is a faith of love and teaches us to respect the laws of the land. Therefore, the vote we cast is highly significant. Abstaining from voting is not the right decision, and opting for NOTA (None of the Above) is also not the ideal choice.

 

2. Look Beyond Identity: Do not immediately decide to vote for someone just because they are Christian. You must observe the nature of the party they belong to. Give priority to the candidate’s integrity, spirit of service, and their reputation in public life.

 

3. Be Wary of Symbolism: Be cautious of candidates who seek votes by posing for photos with church leaders and clergy. Today, support for minorities often exists only in name (tokenism).

 

4. Avoid Religious Polarization: Just as there are parties for specific religions, castes, or communities, there is no specific "Christian party" in our region. Even small Christian organizations do not contest elections independently. Therefore, offering political support based solely on religion is not the right approach.

 

5. Reject Bribery: Accepting money for your vote is equivalent to selling your integrity. Following the teaching to "hate unjust gain," we must cast our votes without giving in to bribery or corruption.
