Lifestyle includes the food we take, the clothes we wear, the important decisions we make in life and all other material aspects. In simple terms, anything that has got to do with our lives and it's progress. When we answer this question: "Why we do?" automatically the crux of "What we do?" is answered. We should constantly think over and over again as to why we do what we do.
What it is to enjoy natural lifestyle? is a confusing question to answer today than ever before, because, there are so many artificial lifestyles that have sprung up in no time and continues to every single day. This makes it all the more difficult to differentiate the natural from the unnatural. Trend is the common term for it today. To faithfully adhere to the natural lifestyle in a fast changing world such as this, one has to be persistent in his/her core beliefs to withstand the storm of fashion. When we know the true benefits of a natural lifestyle, we wouldn't one bit, put our own precious bodies and eventually our lives at risk. The problem with artificial lifestyles is that the focus is not too much on what is truly important and compromises it at all cost. Anything made by man which directly or indirectly affects our lives is worth ignoring.
Common Myths
There are innumerable myths that are associated with artificial lifestyles which are to be busted before we can truly understand what natural lifestyle is all about. Here are a few for our convenience. "First impression is the best impression." Who said so? This is a myth that has stayed with us for long. The truth is, "First impression is not a lasting impression." Certain robes, shoes, hair cuts, hair colouring, piercing, tattooing, crazy salwars and other women dresses that are revealing etc. and when it comes to styles, low hips, tight pants, and other tight outfits are considered "cool". I sometimes wonder what's cool about them? Anything that puts your body at a discomfort is not worth it. One can give it any tag one likes. It's useless and harmful in the long run. We dress to cover and not to expose. Why don't we do what's comfortable for us and for our own bodies?
Who is truly outdated?
Most the time people label those that enjoy natural lifestyle as outdated. I sincerely forgive their costly ignorance! If only they knew it's worth, they would understand what I am talking about. There are no obligations whatsoever to follow a particular trend. Nobody is going to put a knife to your throat to do something that you hardly like. The problem is not outside, it is within. We have somehow been brainwashed to hold hands together with the world and have voluntarily allowed it to dictate our terms. Only God has that authority but He doesn't dictate, not at all. He has freely offered us all a plethora of natural resources and He has gracefully given us brains to decide too. Let us use the gray matter at least for our own benefits to begin with. If you can't even control yourself, what control do you think you possess?
Let me ask a few questions to ponder:
What is more important, the body or the clothes we wear?
Is it not pretty obvious that the body is much more important than clothes! You can change your clothes at will, but can you do that with your body? You have only one body, mind you! Certain clothes today heavily limit our body movements and suffocate our sensitive organs. Why put our own bodies at risk to please others with our clothing. Let us learn to cloth for our own selves. Attire is so very important than we think. Clothes are clothes and not personalities. Personality has got to do with the person and not the clothes.
Is it okay to risk our bodies for something cool and trending?
Heaven, no! There is a famous saying, "If health is lost, everything is lost." Sadly today, many youngsters are lewd into this new "deception of the era", the "cool" tag.
What about food? Taste over nutrition and hygiene?
Our body needs food not poison. Taste stops in the mouth and doesn't go down to the belly. Once the food passes the taste buds, it's all over. Taste is important but not at the risk of hygiene. Nutritious food are tasty too! Our body unlike our tongue does not care too much about the taste. It longs for vitamins and nutritions to be nourished and to function at its fullest potential. We should not smother them with junk. Disease is nothing but lack. When the body doesn't get it's fair share of nutrition, it begins to malfunction and the doctor tries to fix it with medicine and now we faithfully take his/her advice. The necessary lack could have been fixed by our own selves if only we were more cautious about our consumption.
What about material stuff?
So it is with material things as well. Why do we buy a bike? a car? a mobile phone? a laptop? or any gadgets for that matter. If there are no solid reasons in what we do, it's high time we think back. If the "Why" cannot be answered properly, then better not to go for the "What". "Why" always gives more clarity and purpose to the "What". We most the time are busy living for others and fail to live for our own satisfaction. The others that we try to impress are hardly even noticing us. They don't care a thing in the world because they are trying to please somebody else and the never ending chain continues. Calm down, relax and try to live a life that brings the best out of you. You choose what you want and let the world call you a misfit. Nature will sure prove everyone else wrong, but you!
If only we look at nature and learn from them! What superior wisdom is found in all of God's creation! They all are for our own benefits. No creation of God functions artificially. The only wily creature that does it is human and that too in ignorance. Our bodies are formed from the earth. We are programmed to only function naturally. Earth is sure to support us when we shift from the artificial to the the natural. Earth would surely be heaven if the natural surpasses the artificial. Lives would be more healthy, long lasting and beautiful. There won't be any lack. The sad thing is when we go against nature, we tend to go against God's established laws and orders. How are we going to be successful in our mission? Are we greater than God? Are we smarter than our Almighty? Are we here to counsel Him? Let us in humility learn from God's creation that displays His glory night and day!
