Once, in a small village of a Southern City of USA, the yellow fever made a disastrous blow and took away the lives of many. The moment anyone died of the plague, a cart went around and took the body away in a coffin. In a poor house, the Father got affected and died. After sometime, the mother also became sick who was left with a little son Philip and the neighbours didn't dare to visit them. When the mother realised that she was also going to die soon, she called her little son Philip and said to him, "My dear boy, I am going to leave you soon, but believe me, Jesus, who died for us on the Cross and rose again, will definitely come to you when I am gone." The mother also died and the cart came and took her away to the grave. The neighbours were afraid to come and take care of the boy as the plague was heavily spreading. The little Philip wandered about in tears for sometime and then walked up to the grave where they buried his mother. He sat down on the grave of his mother and wept a lot and slept there. Next morning when he woke up, he felt very hungry and lonely. At that time a stranger came that way and having seen such a little boy in distress, he asked him, "What are you waiting for?" The boy replied, "I'm waiting for Jesus." Then he told him the sorrowful story. The man had tears in his eyes and being very much moved by such an incident he said to the boy, "Jesus has sent me." The boy said, "You have been so good Sir." The man took him and cared for little Philip so much and he grew up happily in faith.
Lesson
Jesus who suffered on the Cross and won over the death will definitely take care of the lost, unfortunate and the suffering ones.
