The Meyego expresses its deep indignation and unequivocal condemnation regarding the systemic irregularities and reported malpractices in the NEET 2026 examination. These recurring issues—including paper leaks and administrative lapses—betray the hard work of millions of students and undermine the integrity of the nation’s educational system.
We maintain that NEET is an unnecessary burden. Higher Secondary School public examination marks should be the sole and sufficient criteria for medical admissions, ensuring a fair and accessible path for all students. The path to the medical profession must be based on genuine academic achievement rather than a flawed entrance model. Centralized exams should not serve as a barrier to proven, underprivileged talent.
We stand in solidarity with the students and parents seeking justice. And we call for the immediate reinstatement of 12th-grade marks as the qualifying standard for admission.
"The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity." (Proverbs 11:3)
In Pursuit of Justice,
